Minutes from the last general meeting, held on Sept. 20, 2019 were read by Tina Neigh, and were approved.

Treasurer’s report was given by Sandy Inman in the absence of Virginia Schubert.  She reports a current balance of $1911.78 with $136.00 outstanding in expenses.  All membership fees are paid in full.

Pat Lundin, membership chairman, introduced our new members and asked them to give a brief bit of information about themselves. She reports we have 15 new members, making a total membership for this season of 49.

Mary Ziegler spoke about USGA and local rules.  She stressed the use of our golf booklet to resolve any issues, as many are addressed in this.  If in doubt, player is to play two balls for that hole, keeping each score, and resolved later.

She announced that Tina Neigh will be taking over the position of GHIN posting, and Sue Thering will be the second person for pairings in the resignation of MaryLee Dingee.

Pam Schwer, co-chair of pairings, explained the sign up process and stressed the need for any changes to take place on or before Friday of the previous week.

Jill Becker, VP of scoring, stated that we are able to use our software scorecards again, and they will be on each person’s cart at the beginning of play.  She went over how to score, and that cards should be photographed and texted to her (or Tina in the event of her absence) immediately after the round.  The mobile number of the person to receive the text will be printed on the scorecard.  It was also stressed that scorecards should be signed by two members of the group.  She also spoke about some of the local rules and changes to the World Handicap system.

In a wrap up, Mary spoke about the charity event to be held on June 28th.  She requested a committee to volunteer to coordinate this event.  There will be emails forthcoming to update the membership, and non members are also invited to play.  The Holes of Honor donations will be collected for 3 weeks in succession in August.  She spoke about pace of play and year end awards.

A short question and answer period was done.  Door prizes were then awarded.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:05 a.m.
